On today's River Mornings (8-27) With Melissa & Jack:
Toots Strikes Back –
Reggae legend Frederick “Toots” Hibbert has filed a $20 million lawsuit against Venture Richmond and Metropolitan Richmond Sports Backers Inc. over injuries that occurred when he was hit by a vodka bottle at a Richmond performance. Originally he only filed a lawsuit against the teenager accused of throwing the bottle – 19 year old Williams Lewis of Henrico. Now it appears that Toots is spreading the blame
to basically everyone involved with the concert. 20 million though? Seems a bit excessive.
American Music Fest –
Is August 30th
in VA Beach and features Third Eye Blind, Fuel, Barenaked Ladies, Carbon Leaf and Daughtry. Melissa and Jack are hooking you up with passes all week.
Facebook Credit Check -
Here's the latest Facebook scandal: Your Facebook friends could affect your credit. They won't affect your traditional FICO score, but there are a handful of new companies that are analyzing your Facebook friends to determine whether you're a safe bet for credit. If you're friends with a bunch of delinquents, it looks bad for you.
Jack’s Take: ‘Well, I’m screwed.’
Hollywood Hot Mess –
The agent for free-agent forward Lamar Odom refuted a TMZ report Sunday that said Odom had been missing for 72 hours after a dispute with his wife, reality TV star Khloe Kardashian, reports ESPN.com. ESPN is also reporting that Odom is in a Los Angeles hotel where friends are trying to get him help for an undisclosed drug problem (Crack cocaine, we hear). We wonder how Mama Kris Jenner will spin this into a profit for her family. Oh come on, don't look at us like that. She's evil!
